We are very proud to have been announced as a finalist in the Scotland Housing Awards 2021 for our Inverclyde development.
Alongside building partner Cruden Building Limited, Sanctuary Scotland created brand new, affordable and sustainable housing in Inverclyde for almost 100 families. The development, part funded by a grant from the Scottish Government consists of 96 properties spanning across Port Glasgow and Greenock, has also helped support local community projects. As part of our commitment to do MORE to support communities where we build, we worked in partnership to create a new outdoor learning area for a local primary school, donated tools and resources to local charity Inverclyde Shed, created job and apprenticeship opportunities, and even resurfaced a car park for nearby Lilybank bowling club!
The Chartered Institute of Housing award for ‘Excellence in Development for Affordable Housing’ recognises design, location, community engagement, partnership, and creating a new community. We are really delighted to be a finalist and so proud of our teams for all their hard work.
Winners will be announced at an award night on 25th November.
