Sanctuary has been named as a new strategic partner by Homes England under its latest Affordable Homes Programme (AHP).
The social housing provider will receive nearly £100m in Government grant funding towards the delivery of 2,000 new affordable homes between now and 2026.
Sanctuary is one of 35 housing associations, councils, and for-profit providers which will receive a share of the £5.2bn funding from Homes England as part of 31 new separate partnerships.
The partnerships will collectively deliver 90,000 grant-funded affordable homes outside London.
The strategic partnership funding is part of the broader £8.6bn AHP being delivered by Homes England outside London over the next five years.
Through the agreement, Homes England fund a partner’s larger development programme, rather than funding on a scheme-by-scheme basis, and housing providers commit to ensuring that 25% of their pipeline will be built using modern methods of construction.
Peter Martin, Sanctuary Group Director – Development, said: “We are delighted to have been selected as a strategic partner by Homes England.
“The funding will enable us to deliver much-needed new affordable homes across the country using modern methods of construction, both of which align with our mission to build affordable homes and sustainable communities where people choose to live.”
